Stories of life-changing mentorship animated
Through their volunteer mentorship programme, Caudwell Youth is transforming the futures of at-risk young people. Our animation team helped bring their story to life, showcasing the profound impact they’re making and inspiring others to get involved.
Challenge:
Facts and figures matter, but they don't move people like stories do. Caudwell Youth, a charity that supports at-risk young people aged 11 to 24, were launching a campaign to find new mentors for their groundbreaking mentorship programme. And to do that, they knew, they had to tell the story of its life-changing impact.
They needed an approach that not only showcased the transformative power of their work but also inspired others to join their mission as mentors.

Solution:
To bring their story to life, we created a short, punchy animation that helped to explain their work and mentorship programme to a broad audience.
By featuring the stories of real volunteers, like Amina, we brought the human side of their mission to the forefront — showcasing how these connections create lasting, positive change for young people.
Scriberia animator, Conor Kehelly, explains: “We aimed to design something that felt efficient and clean to align with the Caudwell Youth brand. Their logo features two circles to represent the mentor/mentee relationship, which provided us a really powerful visual cue. We leaned into that simplicity, incorporating the circles and stripping back unnecessary elements. This minimalist approach allowed us to tell the story with clarity and impact.
“Since there isn't a voiceover, the text played a crucial role in driving the story forward — and this restriction only strengthened the visual impact.
“For the sound and music, we wanted to mirror the imagination and energy of a child, so we used unconventional, playful sounds — like ping-pong balls and masking tape — to help create this.”
Results:
The animation has provided the Caudwell team with a powerful asset to drive awareness of the programme. It features on their website and has been widely shared across TikTok, LinkedIn and Instagram.
