Animation 1 : The Illegal Wildlife Trade
Challenge
The illegal wildlife trade is a global crisis, wreaking havoc on biodiversity, ecosystems, public health and even national security - and it's only getting worse.
But how do you break down such a complex issue into a message that grabs and keeps the attention of a diverse global audience?
Solution
We created a visually striking animation to shine a light on this global crisis. Using hard-hitting stats, impactful imagery and powerful messaging, we highlighted the devastating human and environmental costs of this illegal trade.
But it’s not just about raising alarm - the animation also highlights the steps being taken to tackle this issue, from stronger enforcement to groundbreaking initiatives and, most importantly, how we can all play a part in making a difference.

Animation 2: The Fight to Save Malayan Tigers
Challenge
With fewer than 150 Malayan Tigers remaining in the wild, urgent action is essential to save them from extinction. How do you make this critical message resonate with a local audience while drawing global attention?
Solution
We used the animation to illustrate what the future could look like if we don’t act now - shining a spotlight on the major threats facing these majestic creatures, such as habitat loss and poaching.
Designed to both inform and inspire, the animation highlights the conservation measures already in place and, crucially, the additional actions urgently needed to protect tiger populations - motivating viewers to engage with and support conservation efforts.
Results
The animations provided WWF with a powerful way to connect with audiences and drive home the urgency of these wildlife issues, motivating people to get involved and support conservation efforts.
They were widely shared on social media, through WWF’s official channels, and other conservation-focused platforms, as well as at educational seminars, conferences and workshops.
To extend its reach, the first animation was translated into Thai, making an even bigger impact.
